Partnership and collaboration — how GBA works with others.

GBA is building a commercially integrated Pongamia biofuel and carbon credit business. Partnerships are central to that across fuel trials, plantation development, capital, and research. This page describes how we work with different partners.

Why the plantation timeline determines the commercial window.

Three factors are converging right now: Safeguard Mechanism baselines declining at 4.9%/year; $1.1bn in federal Cleaner Fuels Program funding opening for applications in 2026–27; and a feedstock development cycle that requires years of lead time.

The plantation clock is the binding constraint. Trees planted in 2026 begin producing seed oil by 2029–2030. Operations that need fuel supply in place by 2027–2028 need to be engaging with supply chain development now.

Partnership discussions are treated in confidence. All enquiries are handled directly by Charles Easton. Commercial details are not shared with third parties without explicit written consent.

How GBA works with different partners.

Five partnership models — each with its own engagement structure and value proposition.

⛏️ Mining Operator — Fuel Trial & Offtake

For: Mining companies with Safeguard obligations and diesel haul fleets

Co-designed fuel trial using your fleet and site conditions, site-specific carbon and cost modelling, priority access to commercial supply as GBA scales production, and potential co-investment in plantation development to secure supply chain and ACCU benefits.

🌾 Land Manager — Plantation Development

For: Graziers, pastoral operators, rehabilitated mine site operators, regional developers

Land assessment and agronomic suitability evaluation at no cost to the landowner. Plantation establishment funded by GBA or through a joint venture. Revenue sharing from seed oil sales and ACCU sequestration credits. Long-term land use agreement with defined terms.

💰 Capital Partner — Equity or Project Finance

For: Private equity, impact investors, family offices, institutional investors

The investment thesis: regulated demand (Safeguard Mechanism), $1.1bn government support (Cleaner Fuels Program), dual revenue streams (fuel + ACCUs), long-lived productive assets (40+ year plantations), domestic supply chain, and strong ESG credentials.

GBA is currently pre-commercial, raising capital for plantation establishment (Stage 1: 500–1,000 ha), processing infrastructure, and commercial trial programme.

🔬 Research & Academic

For: Universities, CSIRO, research institutes

Access to established Pongamia plantation sites, PD100™ fuel samples for independent testing, co-authorship on joint publications, industry partner status for ARC Linkage grant applications. Research areas actively sought: combustion engineering, tropical agronomy, carbon accounting, remote sensing, biofuel chemistry.

🏛️ Government & Policy

For: Federal and state agencies, industry bodies, regional development organisations

GBA participates in DCCEEW and ARENA stakeholder consultation for the Cleaner Fuels Program. Available to brief departmental staff, participate in roundtables, and provide technical input to methodology and standard development.
